The beginning of the 2009-2010
wrestling season is upon
us and the Cougars, as one
of the oldest and most succesful
clubs in
Illinois. The Cougars are
the official feeder program
for Glenbard North High
School
Wrestling Program - one
of the most dominent public
school wrestling program
in Illinois.
We are are exicited to return
for our 32nd season!
The
Cougars Wrestling Club is
for Grade School boys through
8th gade. No experience
is
necessary and there are
no residency requirements.
The boys will wrestle in
practices, dual meets,
and tournaments according
to their age, experience
and weight. Practices are
usually held three
nights a week; Mon., Tues.,
& Thur., (6pm-8pm),
in the Varsity & Freshman
Wrestling Rooms at
Glenbard North H.S. in Carol
Stream.
The
Cougars are members of the
Illinois Kids Wrestling
Federation which is one
of the largest and
most established kids wrestling
organizations in the country
and is a member of USA Wrestling.
The Cougars have won five
Team State Championships,
produced hundreds of individual
state
place winners and state
qualifiers, plus 25 state
champions. Yet one of the
main goals of the
program continues to be
fun & fundamentals.
The Cougars supply uniforms
for their wrestlers.
The
Cougars are looking forward
to one of our best teams
and season yet. We are going
to work
hard, have fun, build character
and accomplish our goals!
