Cougar family lost a dear member;
Audrey Donovan. Audrey passed away
on January 3rd. Audrey is the mother
of Cougar coaches Dennis, Jim, &
Greg Donovan and grandmother of Cougar
wrestlers Nick, Devin, & Ben Donovan.
Mike
& Audrey Donovan are founding
members of the V-L Cougars. Mike &
Audrey made sure the club survived
when there was no coaching staff after
the 82-83 season. All Cougars alums
owe a deep gratitude to Mike &
Audrey for the continued existence
of the Cougars.

Audrey
L. Donovan lifelong resident of Lombard
Audrey L. Donovan (nee Rynearson),
69, died Jan. 3, 2012, at Good Samaritan
Hospital, Downers Grove, Ill. Visitation
will be held Friday, Jan. 6, from
2 to 9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home,
135 S. Main St., Lombard. The funeral
service will begin at the funeral
home on Saturday, Jan. 7, with prayers
at 9:30 a.m., proceeding to Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Lombard, for
a 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will be
in Oakridge Cemetery, Buchanan, Mich.
Mrs. Donovan is survived by her husband,
Michael D. of Lombard; children, D.
Wade (Nancy) of St. Charles, Greg
(Jennifer) of Wheaton, Jim (Heidi)
of Lombard, Dennis M. (Tricia) of
Lombard, Kelly (Mark) Jones of Lombard
and Jeffrey (Cheri Westfal) of Glen
Ellyn; grandchildren, Ted, Elie, Lynn,
Matthew, Devin, Nick, Michael, Ben,
Ryan, Kelsey, Erin Audrey, Charlie,
Caitlyn, Andi, Ethan and Ally; and
her brother, Bill (Mary) Rynearson
of Lisle. Mrs. Donovan was preceded
in death by her brothers, Harlan and
Rodney Rynearson. Mrs. Donovan grew
up in Lombard and was a graduate of
Lincoln School and a 1960 graduate
of Glenbard High School. She had worked
for the Federal Reserve Bank in the
1960s and also for the Clinten F.
Frank Ad Agency. Mrs. Donovan had
been an election judge. In lieu of
flowers, memorials to Scleroderma
Foundation, 203 N. Wabash St., Number
